Luke’s Place webinar: Understanding the best interests of the child test
All custody and access decisions are made using the best interests of the child test, as set out in section 24 of the Children’s Law Reform Act. The test has a number of factors that judges are required to consider in making decisions about custody and access.
This webinar examines each factor in the context of a case involving violence against women and makes suggestions for service providers about evidence a woman can use to support her application for custody of her children.
The webinar was delivered by Luke’s Place and hosted by Your Legal Rights on April 17, 2014.
