After She Leaves: Family law online training

Our After She Leaves self-directed, asynchronous, multi-module online course looks at the legal issues and challenges a woman may face after she leaves an abusive partner and becomes involved in Ontario's family court system.

This course is designed for Ontario service providers who support survivors of intimate partner violence involved in the family court system. It is helpful for service providers new to the work and a valuable refresher for experienced professionals.

The course covers:

  • Violence against women within the family
  • Family law issues when leaving an abusive relationship
  • Ontario's family court processes
  • Getting legal advice
  • Providing effective support

The course takes 4-5 hours to complete. It consists of narrated slide presentations accompanied by downloadable resource lists. Transcripts for narration are provided.

Once you purchase this course, processing will take 1 - 2 weeks, and you will then receive an email with access information.

Fee: $90.

This course is available free of charge to Luke's Place FCSW Partners and Women's organizations working with survivors of intimate partner violence.
