This advocacy course explores how to do law reform as a community-based organization. It covers the steps in a law reform campaign, including how to work effectively in a coalition. It also looks at other forms of law reform and recent campaigns.

This advocacy course looks at how to work with the media to promote gender-based violence concerns. It covers traditional and social media, the role of a media spokesperson, communication tools and media interviews. It also explores how much language matters in all these situations.

Effective lawyering with clients leaving abusive relationships

This course is designed for family law lawyers and law students, this program contains 1hr 20 mins Professionalism Hours and is eligible for up to 1 hr 10 mins Substantive Hours. This program covers core issues in intimate partner abuse cases, including cultural and legal contexts, screening, evidence, and professional responsibilities

Parent-child-contact-problem (Alienation)

This course is designed for Ontario family law lawyers and law students.

The material will also be of interest to service providers who support survivors of intimate partner violence involved in the family court system.

It explores why children may not want contact with a parent, the intersection of this allegation with family violence, Canadian case law, and strategies for lawyers and the courts.

For lawyers, the course contains 15 mins Professionalism Hours and is eligible for up to 1 hr 45 mins Substantive Hours.
