Launch of the Updated Tech Safety Toolkit

Technology is part of our daily lives, and it changes fast. These changes can help people stay safe, but they can also be used to cause harm. New apps, devices, and websites can give survivors more control, but they also bring risks like spying, pretending to be someone else, harassment, and breaking into accounts. That is why safety plans and service provider practices need to stay current.

Luke’s Place is excited to share the updated Tech Safety Toolkit. This toolkit has been enhanced to include the latest technology, and the challenges survivors face today. It offers clear resources, helpful information, and easy-to-use templates and tipsheets for survivors, service providers, and allies. The toolkit explains how technology can be misused by an abusive partner and gives practical steps to improve digital safety.

What’s Inside the Tech Safety Toolkit

The toolkit includes guidance on:

  • How to spot tech abuse
  • How to protect privacy and stay safe online
  • How to deal with tech abuse in family court
  • How to collect evidence of tech abuse for family court

A key feature of the updates to our Tech Safety Toolkit is a set of tools for survivors and advocates who are involved in family court. These include:
