Inquests and Justice: Renfrew County and Beyond with Pamela Cross

What is an inquest, and why does it matter in the fight against gender-based violence?

In a powerful new episode of the RAGE podcast, lawyer, author, and long-time advocate Pamela Cross joins the hosts to unpack these questions. The conversation takes a close look at the Renfrew County Inquest, which examined the 2015 murders of Carol Culleton, Anastasia Kuzyk, and Nathalie Warmerdam (CKW) by a man known to them.

The inquest examined the systemic failures that allowed these tragedies to happen and produced 86 recommendations aimed at preventing future acts of gender-based violence and femicide.

Pamela brings her decades of experience in law reform and advocacy to shed light on how inquests work, why they matter, and what change they can spark. Pamela’s insights are both sobering and inspiring, reminding us of the work that still needs to be done and the power of collective action.
